A lucky shot or a well planned victory

Lets call it what it is. A lucky shot?We keep seeing the KO of Buakaw by Sato and don't get me wrong Sato is a great Max fighter but it was more luck than anything. Sato fought the same fight as the time before(BPP v Sato II) but this time landed a lucky knee than downed BPP. Sato said in an interview that he "figured him out" and had a "plan" but I don't see that. Sato had a great fight against Masato in the finals but he seemed to be hoping for that same golden knee for the entire first round. He hardly used his low kicks and only started to box in the second.
What do you guys think? Maybe I'm wrong and Sato had the fight in the bag but I don't see how losing for 3 rounds and then pulling out the winning knee is a "gameplan".

I think that it was more a lucky shot then a great
strategy. But it must be said that Sato fought the
fight well and BPP probably underestimated Sato.

No such thing as a lucky shot.....If you throw a
punch and it knocks the other guy out why is it
lucky.......if the whole thing was reversed
everyone would be saying wow Buakaw what a great
shot .......

I didn't say that a single punch or kick is
always a lucky shot. This is a specific
example.Sato has lost to BPP twice before. Buakaw had never been KO'd. Sato was losing this fight in every round. He threw a knee then KO'd BPP. I'm just saying that comments like "Sato figured him out" are misplaced.
Like Daniel said, there is a good chance that Buakaw underestimated Sato. He wasn't avoiding the knees. It's unlikely Buakaw will ever make that mistake again.
I'm not taking anything away from Sato. He did fight a great fight and I was actually thinking before the fight that BPP could lose this fight (by points)

In my opinion, and as far as my conversations go,
almost any impartial viewer would think that Buakaw
underestimated Sato's power, he had a strange
attitude, often so motivated and this time a bit
dizzy, or negligent, as though his mind was
somewhere else. As for lucky shots goes, I think
that well-executed shots deserve the luck to be
well-placed and reach target at full speed/potency,
usually only a portion of these turn out to be
lucky shots - successful ones -, it's up to the
fighter to keep trying, and above all, to have a
good ratio, that is, to hold a high percentage of
successful shots, of all the shots he shoots... in
short words, it's usually a subjective matter,
to decide whether a shot is a lucky one or not, it
may seem or be isolated sometimes, but a
well-executed and well-placed shot deserves merit
anyway
