Yodsaenklai Fairtex (born: 1985 as Yodthanong Photirat ) is a champion Muay Thai fighter from Thailand. Yodsaenklai is a 154 pound champion of Lumphini Stadium, as well as a 154 pound WBC Muay Thai Champion.

Yodsaenklai in K-1

At 154 pounds, many fans have speculated that Yodsaenklai would be a serious contender in K-1 Max, the prestigious Japan-based annual tournament for the world's best 155 pound fighters, and would make an excellent matchup against current K-1 Max champion (and fellow Thai) Buakaw Por.Pramuk. This has yet to materialize, though Yodsaenklai did fight on a K-1 Max card in Japan in a "superfight" against Kamal Al Amrani in 2006, winning a dominant 3 round unanimous decision.

Yodsaenklai, originally from Northern Thailand, is nicknamed "the Computer Wizard" in his native Thailand and is well known for his devastating counterpunches and kicks from the southpaw stance. He currently boasts a career record of 142 wins, 65 losses and 4 draws. Yodsaenklai won arguably the most prestigious title in Muay Thai, the Lumphini Stadium title belt, in August 2005 with a knockout victory over Runglaew. He became the 154 pound WBC Muay Thai Champion following his notable victory over Australian John Wayne Parr on December 10, 2005 in Gold Coast, Australia. He also holds the Thailand 154 pound championship.

Yodsaenklai currently fights with Fairtex Gym, and trains in the suburbs outside of Bangkok, Thailand, though he also sometimes trains at the Fairtex Pattaya facility. His last WBC title defense was on November 11, 2006, when he defeated Mark Vogel in Wuppertal, Germany by first round knockout (elbow).

On November 29, 2007, Yodsanklai had a non-title contest at the "France vs Thailand" event, held in Paris, France against the French superstar Farid Villaume. Yodsanklai won the fight by third round referee stoppage TKO.

He will be facing John Wayne Parr in the final for the Contender Asia in Las Vegas.

The best K-1 community online!

The focus is on building a community that offers more to the users than any other K-1 website. The focus is also on that the community should be totally user driven, with the users as main writers of content. Who would for example write a better fight report than a fan who actually was at the fight? Or who could write a more interesting fighter profile than the fan who loves and really knows about a fighter? We believe that this approach will lead to that fansofk1.com has the most interesting K-1 information.
