Description
Hideo Tokoro, a young talented Mixed Martial Artist known for his heart and ability. He achieved everything thanks to his big heart and "do or die" attitude. He never gives up and fights till the end. His every single fight is a mega-pack of action, drama and sacrifice.
Biography
Hideo Tokoro was born 1977 August 22 in Gifu prefecture. He was a member of a baseball club in his High School days. In the year1999 he started to train in the Yamamoto Gym 山本喧一 . That was his first step into becoming a Japanese superstar.
In the year 2001 he became a Kok Limited Amature Rings Champion and turned professional. In the same year he started a part-time job. His financial situation wasn't good. Working as a cleaner he had to live in a room without a bath. In the year 2002 he joined ZST(a very specific Japanese MMA org). He has been fighting for this org till now, mostly in grappling matches. He won a lot of his fights, but he also had several loses. He fought in a very entertaining way and this is why K1 officials offered him a fight against multi-champ Alexandre 'Pequeno' Nogueira on K1 Heros 2 card. After an exciting 2 round battle, he defeated Pequeno in an extra round via spinning back-fist. After that exciting victory he gained a lot of new fans(e.g. me) and was offered to fight in further HEROS events.
In meantime he won a 2005 ZST GTF grappling tournament and became a featherweight champion. After fights against Caol Uno and Gabe Lamley he was offered to fight against MMA legend Royce Gracie on K1 Dynamie 2005 card. Despite the fact that Royce Gracie outweighted Tokoro more than 15kg(35lbs) Hideo gave Royce a lesson of MMA and after a battle which took 20 minutes, judges verdict was draw(becuase of the special rules, Hideo was better in that fight). In the year 2006 the name Hideo Tokoro was known all over the world...In the year 2006 he moved to an apartment with a bath. He took part in many japanese TV shows and right now is one of the biggest HEROS stars. * He achieved everything thanks to his big heart and "do or die" attitude.
