Spong vs. DeAnda

Spong has a LOOONG way to go to be successful in MMA. It took Spong three rounds of lowkicks and avoiding exchanges to beat an unknown middleweight fighter, who by the way, appeared to have only some boxing skills, no muay tai, no BJJ, no grappling.Spong must realize it'll take a lot more than that to get noticed by major MMA promotions.

It's no excuse that he is inexpirienced or whatever because Spong has a lot of tools - kicking, boxing, grappling and BJJ (he trains with the Blackzillians after all), and here he fought a fighter who was using only his hands and was a weight class (and a head)bellow him. Apart from his 100 fights vs 15-ish of his opponent. And still the small guy outboxed him at times.

@Mitko J. I do think spong could have bin more aggresiive he was sitting like a cat in a three
waiting for openings ...

But give the guy a break its his SECOND mma fight when he gets used more to the cage and everything he wil open up more and be more aggresive !!

The best K-1 community online!

The focus is on building a community that offers more to the users than any other K-1 website. The focus is also on that the community should be totally user driven, with the users as main writers of content. Who would for example write a better fight report than a fan who actually was at the fight? Or who could write a more interesting fighter profile than the fan who loves and really knows about a fighter? We believe that this approach will lead to that fansofk1.com has the most interesting K-1 information.
