Monday Morning Moose Droppings

Here we go!

Awe yes another Monday.

Is it just me or is kickboxing getting more media attention theses days?

It's Showtime ran a show on Saturday. The results are already posted so my opinion in a few words. A well publicized event with some big names fighting very over-matched people. This is the type of fights you usually see in pro boxing where the promoter is trying to hype upcoming fighters. A poor event overall.

HDnet has announced it will begin covering It'sShowime. This is good news. Although not available in every North American market, HDNet brings a potential large tv audience available.  The only drawback is they usually tape delay coverage.

The UFC continues to be hurt by injuries. Nate Marrquart and Frankie Edgar get injured and now Brock Lesnar has another bout with diverticulitis. Perhaps the incredible growth rate of the UFC is taking a toll of the people who showcase the sport.

Thai fight Extreme was a great thai event. Looking forward to more promotions from this group.

On a serious note. Flooding continues to plague North America. Rain, rain go away and let the snow runoff come slowly.

Oh yeah and on a persoal note. I wish Badr lost.

I guess it is because I do not like the man. He thinks he is beyond the law. better for kickboxing that he won. I would like to see someone spin hook kick him face first into the canvas.

Sad to see Brock is out. I began to develop sympathy for this guy. Winning or not - this man was always spectacular to watch. Seems UFC is beginning to loose attraction, good for strikeforce - if this organisation will still exist. I mean Dos Santos is good - but if that is the crown of UFC (Ok Cain is a big name too), and than i take a look at Overeem i further begin to believe the Reem stands actually for top of the world in martial Arts...

The UFC is hardly slowing down. The larget gate reciepts in in history, and they are merchadising everything. The UFC is on the verge of becoming the 4 or 5th major sports brand in North America. Behind the NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL.

You forgot to mention UFC now insuring fighters. While I'm still not a MMA fan, UFC paying for insurance for fighters who get injured even in training is a HUGE step toward respectability.

But yeah, good article, dunno why it got 2 stars.

I see Mongoose is back...

@Hosinsul strikeforce and ufc are both from The same Owner so what ar you talking about??? he can always put the 2 companys together and still call it ufc!

The best K-1 community online!

The focus is on building a community that offers more to the users than any other K-1 website. The focus is also on that the community should be totally user driven, with the users as main writers of content. Who would for example write a better fight report than a fan who actually was at the fight? Or who could write a more interesting fighter profile than the fan who loves and really knows about a fighter? We believe that this approach will lead to that fansofk1.com has the most interesting K-1 information.
