Shootboxing Act 2 Big Match and Poster revealed

Act 2 has its feature bout...

From the official Shootboxing website as well as HeadKickLegend we have big news about the SB 2011 Act 2 SB 168 event slated for April 23. Andy Souwer's opponent has been named...Yoshihiro Sato.

Sato is no stranger to K-1 fans. He is the K-1 MAX 2010 Finalist where he lost to Giorgio Petrosyan. Since then he advanced in the Krush -63kg tournament by beating Swiss fighter Shemsi Beqiri. His last fight was a defeat at the hands of Armen Petrosyan at Fight Code: Dragon series Round 2. Sato needs upward momentum and a win versus Souwer will be a big step up.

Souwer on the other hand will look to have the same result against Sato as in 2007 when they fought against each other in K-1. This will be an interesting fight to watch. Both men are 2-2 in their last 4 fights, both men have wins over S-Cup champion Buakaw Por. Parmuk and both men are looking to go upward. This will be a fight to watch.

Also, SB has released the poster for Act 2.The image is uploaded in the article, and here is a link to the poster:

It seems that with K-1's absence, Shootboxing is stepping up in a big way. In a lot of videos on YouTube I see comments of "Why isn't this sport more popular?" It is underground for sure, but I think it will grow nicely. Having fights like Souwer vs Sato and having Buakaw as your champ certainly can't hurt. I would like to see them create a HW division.

The best K-1 community online!

The focus is on building a community that offers more to the users than any other K-1 website. The focus is also on that the community should be totally user driven, with the users as main writers of content. Who would for example write a better fight report than a fan who actually was at the fight? Or who could write a more interesting fighter profile than the fan who loves and really knows about a fighter? We believe that this approach will lead to that fansofk1.com has the most interesting K-1 information.
