Saki heading to MMA?

You can acces the original article here: http://www.kombat.ro/k1/meciul-cu-ghita-ultimul-pentru-saki-in-k-1-saki-merge-in-america-anul-viitor-va-lupta-in-mma.html , but it’s in Romanian. So here it is:

It seems that the WGP Final will be Saki's last K1's last event.

Marloes Coenen, Strikeforce Women;s Champion and Golden Glory training colleague, said that Saki will follow the footsteps of Alistair Overeem and will be moving to the US next year. No word yet on any contract signed with Strikeforce, nor has Saki mentioned anything about that. Maybe he will pull an "Overeem", in the sense that he will be part of both organizations.

So, what do you guys think?

If it is true, I dont have any problems with him fighting in MMA, and I wish him all the luck. As long as he will continue fighting in K-1 (like Overeem and Manhoef).

It would be a significant loss for K-1/stand-up fighting if he decides to stop. Because he is a very good fighter. His fights are entertaining.

He had one MMA fight so far , and Zikic demolished him, and he is only a "solid" MMA fighter.I think he is better off with kickboxing, but hey, he might give it a try...

@torazulu Well, that was 6 years ago, he was very young and inexperienced. A lot has changed since then! I think he would do just fine in MMA as well!

The best K-1 community online!

The focus is on building a community that offers more to the users than any other K-1 website. The focus is also on that the community should be totally user driven, with the users as main writers of content. Who would for example write a better fight report than a fan who actually was at the fight? Or who could write a more interesting fighter profile than the fan who loves and really knows about a fighter? We believe that this approach will lead to that fansofk1.com has the most interesting K-1 information.
