Possible Blockbuster Romania: Aerts, Overeem, Karaev and Sapp!
Nothing 100% yet, but it seems promising:
Don't fault the Romanians for trying, as we've seen in the past, the two big name kickboxers out of Romania in the past few years is Catalin Morosanu and Daniel Ghita. K-1 ColliZion has been looking to lock the two up, but Ghita has no desire to take any fight that he finds below him at this point.
Eduard Irimia, a local fight promoter is trying to get the funds together to put on a blockbuster K-1 card. It isn't clear if this will have K-1's official backing (K-1 is looking to run more official European shows) or possibly K-1 ColliZion, but if they can sign these fights the chance of getting people into an arena and to watch it on television are very likely. The discussed fights are Ruslan Karaev vs. Catalin Morosanu in what would be an incredibly logical and competitive fight between the two. Morosanu, the younger of the two would face a real step-up in competition, and Karaev, coming off of a tough loss to Badr Hari, would have a chance to redeem himself. Ionut Iftimoaie vs. Peter Aerts is also apparently on the table, which would be the first fight announced for Aerts in 2010 for Mr. K-1. Raul Catinas, the 21-year old Romanian fighter who looks to be really working his way up would face the toughest challenge of his career in Alistair Overeem. Of course, you can't draw in Romania without apparently tossing Sandu Longu on a card, so why not against Bob Sapp?
This is still very tentative, but be on the lookout for this, as this could be a card that takes everybody by surprise.

Interesting! That Karaev - Morosanu fight will be
awesome!!!Plus it's always good to see Aerts fight. A match like this is just what he needs.
i dont think like that rob.cuz he doesnt have too
many fights in future.so,he shouldnt waste his
opportunities with fighting noname fighters.i
think,he should have a big fight before the final
16,like ghita,like manhoef.and then,he wont have
chance to choose after final 16.i would love to see him fighting much more but he doesnt have much time.so,he sould use his time in the best way.
I understand, but he's had some tough losses
against Hari and Overeem, so a mental win is always
something. Sure he beat up two guys after that, but
I had no doubts about those fights. I think he
should save his best for the Final 16/8 and in the
mean time take on less difficult fights. Then
again, a fight against Ghita is cool as well.
Wouldn't it be awesome for Aerts to win over
Ghita by lowkick KO :P
in aerts-ghita fight, the aerts that i know does the
smart strategy and goes for the head.cuz ghita will
think aerts will use his kicks but going for the
head would be a good surprise for ghita.and i dont
think ghitas low kicks will effect aerts that
much.but anyway, thats for sure it would be great fight
