BWin, K-1 and The Voice

Now that I saw the final 16, there's one thing about the sport overall: could BWin kill the sport!?

We all know what happens in the soccer since the betting got heavy - betting moguls can set up every game, even the champions league finals, where millions of euros are at stake. If betting moguls can buy soccer players who are paid 100,000 euros per week, why shouldn't they tell Badr Hari for example: "Hey, here, have 2,000,000 and lose the championship bout against, say, Teixeira, you can win it next year anyway". Noone is crazy enough to refuse the millions, and take the measly 400,000 instead. And, for those who didn't watch, do you know how The Voice compared the fighters to each-other? Some would think by height, skills, experience, but NO. He compared all of the fighters through BWin coefficients. I even started to think that he's there to bring the sport to the betting houses of America, not to the fans. He even maybe wants to set himself up as the dealmaker - the inside guy?!

Since I'm a regular follower of soccer, I've seen it happen all too often, so I'm getting worried that the K-1 might lose it's spirit to It's Highness - The Cash (that of betting moguls, not the prize money), but to others - is it enough reason to get worried or am I just being paranoid?

na, that sounds to paranoid. the voice is from england and they are crazy about betting, so I wouldn't think about that too much.

but sure, the possibility is there. let's be positive, the best should and will win.

@pofesen Schiavello's Australian.

I know nothing about fixed fights in K-1, but if it was to be true, Nabil Kania's got something to do with that.

yea because public betting killed NFL football in america. Public betting killed FIFA. Public betting killed boxing and mma. Publicity is good for K-1.

The best K-1 community online!

The focus is on building a community that offers more to the users than any other K-1 website. The focus is also on that the community should be totally user driven, with the users as main writers of content. Who would for example write a better fight report than a fan who actually was at the fight? Or who could write a more interesting fighter profile than the fan who loves and really knows about a fighter? We believe that this approach will lead to that fansofk1.com has the most interesting K-1 information.
