Can anyone explain what happened here?

Even seven months after this fight it's unclear to me: Does It's Showtime always arrange the results of the fights upfront? Or did that Kraus clown really win this one? Or am I just plain dumb to see that the clear winner was Kraus? I know K-1 did sometimes lean in favor of Musashi, but this? This way It's Showtime won't ever get as great as K-1.

I agree that the judges were very wrong!

"This way It's Showtime won't ever get as great as K-1"
Do you mean to say that there has never been a discutable decision in K-1 of FEG?

THE WIN WAS AWARDED TO BUAKAW AFTERWARDS!!!
If you look at their profiles on the official K1 website, its seems that the K1 governing body overturned the decision in favour of Buakaw. So its official, Buakaw beat Kraus 3 times in a row.

Kraus shouldn't be in K1 anymore anyways, he never kicks, just a boxes and is very boring.

Kraus unfortunately has a history of getting favourable decisions for himself. And his behaviour in all his fights against Buakaw shows what a sore loser/bad winner he is. Not a great display of sportsmanship on his part! I sometimes like his fights but I can't appreciate his behaviour.

Winning a fight on decision should never be taken against the fighter himself, since the judges are the one to blame. I thought It's Showtime changed their rules after this event. Now there are five international judges instead of three.

About Kraus not belonging in K1 MAX... This guy is top 5 material all over. And he's right where he should be. K1 brings together all sorts of STAND-UP STRIKING disciplines.

You're right of course Rob, you usually won't use it against the fighter, but given his history in questionable decisions where he always seemed to "assume" he wins, like here, it does not look very nice when he is already in winners pose while everyone is dead certain that he'll lose. I also remember the fight before this one against Buakaw, where he very clearly lost and even got an extra round, and then just walked off after the announcement and refused to exchange a short hug or a nice gesture with Buakaw... It appeared very rude and the commentators tried to find excuses for his lack of sportsmanship.

edit: And he's definetely in the top 10 if not top5 in K1-Max, few doubts about his fighting ability for me.

Right, Chrzan. I had missed it. But nice to learn that K-1 reviewed the match and gave the win to Buakaw. He soooo deserved it!

The best K-1 community online!

The focus is on building a community that offers more to the users than any other K-1 website. The focus is also on that the community should be totally user driven, with the users as main writers of content. Who would for example write a better fight report than a fan who actually was at the fight? Or who could write a more interesting fighter profile than the fan who loves and really knows about a fighter? We believe that this approach will lead to that fansofk1.com has the most interesting K-1 information.
