Wow Sato looked phenomenal at first, but he was completely empty in the extra round! Great victory by Drago, his hunger made him the winner. Too bad Sato is out the tournament though. The Holtzken-Chahid match was awesome!!! Classic Dutch style from both fighters, finishing the combo's with hard lowkicks. And a lot of them as well. However, I would have liked an extra round. Chahid was the busier fighter and he threw punches in bunches. Holtzken had supreme defence and a hard jab with the occasional combo.
So I don't see why it wasn't an extra round. Nicky's ring presence was more noticable and dominant and he looked (how appropiate) like a natural. But it's punches and kicks that make the scorecards tick. Too bad these guys encountered each other so early on, since Chahid would have been a great addition to the Final 8 as well. I saw this event live on the internet. It was a live stream from Japanese television station. One thing that was pissing me off was the fact that the every other word of the Japanese commentators was "Masato". They were talking about him even in the middle of the other fights. I had a feeling that his pointless fight against Hiroya was the main event of the evening. There was even a special reporter in his locker room reporting every 5 minutes.
