Drago beat Sato! That's the only surprise
'till now. And a nice surprise! This certainly is an exciting event!
sombody can telle me the result betwen chahid and
holzken
Be patient Samout, they haven't fought
yet....Aren't you watching the event?
Wow Sato looked phenomenal at first, but he was
completely empty in the extra round! Great victory
by Drago, his hunger made him the winner. Too bad
Sato is out the tournament though.
what was the fight between Petrosyan and Askerov
like?
Rasmussen (513 posts)
In the end yes. But did you see the first round?
Buakaw was knocked down. He turned it around
though... Kyschenko was impressive!
Yeah, I agree BÃ¥rd: Kyshenko was very impressive!
And Petrosyan as well IMO.
The Holtzken-Chahid match was awesome!!! Classic
Dutch style from both fighters, finishing the
combo's with hard lowkicks. And a lot of them
as well. However, I would have liked an extra
round. Chahid was the busier fighter and he threw
punches in bunches. Holtzken had supreme defence
and a hard jab with the occasional combo. So I don't see why it wasn't an extra round. Nicky's ring presence was more noticable and dominant and he looked (how appropiate) like a natural. But it's punches and kicks that make the scorecards tick. Too bad these guys encountered each other so early on, since Chahid would have been a great addition to the Final 8 as well.
Yamamoto got battered and still won? Again, strange
judging criteria by Japanese judges. His opponent
was Korean Chi Bin Lim, maybe that's why they
"oversaw" some things in favor of their fellow
countryman. All Yamamoto did to Lim was cut over
the left eye with a headbutt. Maybe the blood was
the key point. It's a disgrace for K-1!
And why did the Drago-Sato fight have to go on for
another round? Are they saying to the rest of the
world that to win over a Japanese fighter you have
to KTFO of him?
I saw this event live on the internet. It was a
live stream from Japanese television station. One
thing that was pissing me off was the fact that the
every other word of the Japanese commentators was
"Masato". They were talking about him even in the
middle of the other fights. I had a feeling that
his pointless fight against Hiroya was the main
event of the evening. There was even a special
reporter in his locker room reporting every 5
minutes. I'm really starting to hate that guy
chahid was impressive i don t think he lose the
fight i wait i extra round the japanesse give
always the oprtinity for the japanaise fghiter but
the other he dont car
