Wow! This looks almost like a fansofK-1 favourite match-ups list! All the new good ones are there: Holtzken, Petrosyan, Lima, Askerov! FEG have really made a great event! And the "new Masato" Hiroya vs Masato will be fun, and is probably a good pr-stunt in Japan. My guess for results are; all the people on the left will win their matches

My first rection is Noooo! Where is marcus Öberg? I checked around and saw that he is going to Malaysia the 9, th of april for the contender show. I guess he could only make one of the two events. Guess thats why Askerov is in the tornament.
Other than that the fight card is looking great.

This is indeed a dream-come-true line-up! It's almost sad to see such great names already facing each other in the elimination. But so be it, plus a fight is a fight. So weither we see it in the Final or in the elimination, we'll get to see fireworks nonetheless. Plus this way some other less familiar faces will be able to compete in the Final 8 GP. Great great picks this year...WHOOPIE haha :p

@universal

Yeah I agree, Chahid is a fighter with a lot of potential. BUT he's fighting Nieky Holzken!!!! The organization put 2 of the most promising fighters against eachother!!
Really a fight to look forward to.

I expected Direkci instead of Drago as he beat him in Antwerp!!!
Also miss Kido...
Stevelmans could also do instead of some others.
Strange that Masato is not defending his title though.

But anyway great line up. In the end it will be Buakaw or Petrosyan I think.

Great event! What a season, friends!
May be easy wins for Souwer and Holzken; Kyshenko vs Lima, Petrosyan vs Askerov can be real entertaining; also curious to see Sato vs Drago and Buakaw vs Dida... all in all, a quite interesting evening will this be

@Pablo

I'm not so sure about that easy win for Holtzken. That Chahid is a machine! Then again, Nicky is 'the natural' ;-)

Rob and universal: I know, didn't mean to sound disrespectful to Chahid, no doubt he's in excellent shape, perhaps my appreciation is just a case of 'wishful thinking', u already know Nieky's one of my personal favourites

@Pablo

Same here, Chahid is gonna give him war, that's for sure. But I do hope Nicky wins. I think he is the better fighter of the two. More complete and focused. Where as Chahid has great heart and incredible stamina to go all out non-stop. But Nicky should be able to keep his defence tight and find that one opening he needs.

I've just updated the fightcard.
Taishin Kohiruimaki was forced out of the Final 16 card due to an injury.
Yuya Yamamoto will now face off against K-1 World MAX 2009 Asia GP winner Chi Bin Lim.
Yamamoto had been scheduled for the reserve bout against Asian runner-up Su Hwan Lee; Lee will now face the 2008 Japanese champion Yasuhiro Kido
