Saki is the better fighter of theese two IMO. He should have won after the first 3 rounds. Maeda has gotten good though. I remember he used to be running in circles all the time, doing nothing but low kicks. Now he actually put some pressure on Saki some of the time. Saki landed more though, a lot more.

If someone told you Maeda would have taken the whole thing, you'd have that person admitted to an institution.
Personally I thought Saki was the better one in the first three rounds. However Maeda's growing confidence in his own skills, made him throw some nice punching combinations in the end of the third. Weither it was an old case of the Musashi-syndrome or a one-sided view of the judges, they gave it an extra round. By now Saki was showing signs of fatigue while Maeda discovered his boxingskills weren't all that bad, throwing some nice left-right-left straightpunches.
I think Saki should have been given the fight after the first three rounds, but they didn't. So I can see why they gave it to Maeda after the fourth round due to his punches and Saki's decreasing strenght.
But that doesn't mean I like the outcome haha!

Maeda said in the prefight interviews he was afraid and he had little chance. But now he's the new champ! And now he's saying it's impossible for him to beat Hari. Hasn't he learned that after the outcome of this event anything can happen?! His next entrance will be on a flying pink elephant ;-)

@BÃ¥rd Rasmussen

To be honest I had the feeling Saki could finish Maeda any time the first 3 rounds of the fight...the last round as well. To me it looked like Saki was shadow boxing or just heavy sparring....maybe too tired from the fight of Spong? Not hungry enough for the belt? Better for K-1 with japanese HW title? I don´t know - I´m just very surprised with this outcome and sadly not impressed by Maeda performance.

Or who could write a more interesting fighter profile than the fan who loves and really knows about a fighter?
