This is gonna be an awesome event!
It´s a surprise to me that Schilt is not in a reserve fight.

The reservefight between Slowinski and Manhoef could be great. Good choice of FEG.

Hmm.. Choi vs Sefo. Never been a big fan of Choi and I'm afraid I'll never will be. It annoys me that he actually wins fights doing nothing but standing there like a punching bag while his opponents score far more points. Sefo hasn't been on top of his game for some time now. Although he is by far a way better fighter than Choi. Hope he knocks Choi out in the first round or otherwise, this is going to be another boring Choi-match.
Nothing wrong with the Slowinski - Manhoef fight. It's gonna hard, that's for sure.
But what we're they thinking making this fight the second reserve match?!?!
Choi as well as Sefo haven't earned being in the first reserve fight.
Where is Feitosa and ...oh I don't know, the champion of the last three years, Schilt??
I've expected more from FEG.

Well, yeah, you´re right about HMC vs Sefo .... do these two deserve this fight? I think Sefo deserves everything because of his history in K-1. And it will probably be a boring fight, due to the stile of HMC. Except if Sefo can KO the giant, that would be great.

But from these (up till now) 6 scheduled fights, there are 5 fantastic match-ups .... so I´m not complaining, and I can hardly wait!!!

This looks great, but like you say i dont like the Sefo / Choi fight either.. I would have preferd Sefo vs Manhoef and PS vs HMC if i had to choice between the four of them. I also wounder why there is no Semmy yet on the card, but i guess that this proves that FEG really wanted to get rid of him, i think we can expect to see Sem fight in MMA in the future.

I like Hong Man a lot actually. But I think it`s a bad match-up to put him and Ray Sefo up against eachother. I was rather excpecting Hong man vs Semmy Schilt in the first reserve-match, Ray will probably have trouble with the reach-disadvantage, and I fear another disapointing loss for Sefo. Not that I mind Hong man winning. Unlike many of the other giants he has good sportmanship, some talent, and also some intelligence both inside and outside the ring.

in my opinion Sefo shouldn`t be he in the reserves fights.. he has many chances this year and he lost all of them. i agree with the second reserve fight, it will be a very excited fight and in the first reserve fight should be Choi vs Shilt ( Choi win the only match they have and could be a great giants battle) but seems they are with problems if Shilt wins and enter in the main card and be the champion again..

I don't like HMC in the ring, but you just gotta love that giant outside the ring!

Anyhow, glad to not have Schilt in the event, I was a bit worried about him getting a reserve fight and ending up winning the whole damn thing.

This is bullshit... Keeping 3-time champion out of the tournament is an outrageous decision and I think it means Schilt is leaving K-1 (for DREAM?). I agree with most of you above that putting Schilt and Sefo in a reserve fight (#1 - wtf?) is unfair. Although Manhoef vs Slowinski is going to be a great fight, I think they didn't deserve it either. Look, these four guys have won all together only one singe fight this year (Paul)...

Much greater: Choi vs Schilt or Choi vs Pettas...

but Slowinski vs Manhoef... Let´s rock! :D

Too bad pettas isn't fighting choi, that would've been awesome. Sefo has been so boring and lackluster lately...

I can agree with Chrzanko that its some what unfair and strange that the 3 time champ Schilt isent given a reservfight, but for me personaly i love to NOT see him in the finals this year. I belivee that Semmy is one of the reasons why K-1`s popularity has been going down, no fighting orginasition in the world wants an undefetable champ that has 0 carisma and almost no fans,, almost the same thing when Tim Silvia was the UFC champ, and the UFC got rid off him as soon as they could.

Semmy deservs "cred" for what he has achived in K-1, but for me personaly i feel no need to see him in K-1,

I don´t think Sefo is boring, I think HMC is boring ...
But Sefo isn´t the same as 2/3 years ago

If Semmy wants Creds he better start posting articles!

Semmy fights to not lose, he is as bad as tim sylvia if not worse. Both fighters were exciting at the start, but once they became champs they have been boring as hell and winning by decision 90% of the time. Semmy vs tim in MMA would be interesting though, as semmy has much better ground game than sylvia (not to mention stand up).

the more i look at this fightcard i get the feeling that i might bee Aerts vs Saki in the final and saki actually might be able to win that fight if Aerts is to badly banged up after his fights with Badr and Zimmerman.

Wow no Semmy....disresoect for the reigning champ or what!

Remy vs Jerome could be both fighters last shot.
Is it just me or is this card weaker than last year.?

@ C Mongoose, I don´t agree with you that the card is weaker than last year.

It´s a very open tournament. Any of these 8 fighters could be this year´s champion.
Maybe you could say afterwards: OK, but if Schilt would´ve been there ...

Remy's last shot? Really? He's not my favorite fighter, I'll be honest about that. But it's not like he's pushing 40 or anything. Sure he will have a hard time trying to win another GP Final, since his only victories come from K1's weak period, but he's still in prime condition. He just needs to change his style and stop the whole "look-at-me" attitude.
I'm surprised to see he's doing so well in the FOK1 Poll.
I'm not a big fan of his defensive style against big names and his interviews on Dutch television show he's not as down to earth as he makes you believe. He's in love with himself a little bit too much. I hope JLB wins their fight and otherwise Saki or Karaev will beat him up enough for Aerts to finish. No offence Remy ;)

I just updated the official fightcard.

FEG put in some Japanese fighters, probably to please the Japanese viewers ...
